Marcia Chatelain PhD'08 and Professor of History and of African American Studies at Georgetown University is the author of Franchise: The Golden Arches in Black America, which won the Pulitzer Prize in History in 2021. She’ll speak about her book, which focuses on the intersection of politics, civil rights, and Black entrepreneurship, and also about her contributions to the newly released second edition of Brown’s Slavery and Justice Report.
