Cradles to Crayons, founded in Boston in 2002, collects donations of high-quality new and good-as-new supplies, clothing, toys, and books to provide children from birth through age 12 with everyday essentials for home, school, and play. We will sort donated items into age-appropriate care packages at the Cradles to Crayons warehouse in Newtonville. In the past, our volunteers have helped sort books into age-appropriate gift packages and put together matched clothing sets, to be given to Boston children in need. Full instruction is provided by Cradles to Crayons staff, no previous experience is necessary, and children are welcome with appropriate supervision.  Space is limited to 40 volunteers and last year we had a full house, so register quickly.

In order to participate, you must additionally register with Cradles to Crayons prior to the event.  All adults must register themselves separately using the individual form.  Please register all minors using the group form.

Join the clothing drive!

We will be organizing our own clothing drive!  Sign up to be a coordinator and bring in clothes from your local community.  The person with the most clothing donated on June 3rd will receive some alumni swag.

A note on donations

Cradles to Crayons accepts a wide range of new and gently-used items for children ages newborn to 12 (clothing up to adult size medium accepted). Consider items that you may already have at home or check out their Amazon Wish List for ideas!
