Please join the Brown Club of Georgia's theatre fans for Actor's Express Theatre's production of Cullud Wattah, written by Erika Dickerson-Despenza, the 2021 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize winner. Three generations of Black women are living through the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. It's been 936 days since Flint has had clean water. Marion, a third-generation General Motors employee, is consumed by lay-offs at the engine plant. When her sister, Ainee, seeks justice and restitution for lead poisoning, her plan reveals the entanglements between the city and its most powerful industry, forcing the family to confront the past-present-future costs of survival.

We will plan to arrive by 1:45 so we can gather and sit together. I'll canvas the group before the show to see if we want to gather before or after for a bite to eat (this will depend on whether the show has a talk-back after).
