Every August, the Brown Club of Georgia hosts a casual afternoon party for incoming first-years along with their family and guests – joined by current students and alumni to welcome the newly admitted Class of 2028 into the Brown community.
Family and guests of the first-years are invited to meet each other and Brown Club of Georgia members.
Alumni and current parents are invited to join in and welcome the new-to-Brown families.
Current students are warmly invited, as well, to hang out with us and help incoming students feel less anxious.
Incoming first-years will get a chance to split off to the basement around 3:30pm to mingle with each other.
DETAILS
Date & time: Sunday, August 4 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm
Refreshments: We'll serve appetizers, dessert, and non-alcoholic drinks
Dress: Casual - whatever makes you feel good; some people inevitably dress it up a bit, but you won't be out of place in t-shirt and shorts
Covid: Primarily indoors, with outdoor options
Venue: Graciously hosted at the home of a local Brown alum near Chastain Park in northern Buckhead.
Parking: Please park only on the odd-number side of the street (opposite side of the house).
MARTA: The home is a 1.3 mile walk from the nearest bus stop at Roswell & W Wieuca.
