The Brown Club of Italy is happy to have Ambassador Jack Markell '82, P'18, join fellow alumni and friends to talk about current and future US-Italy relations.
Jack Markell was confirmed by the Senate on July 27, 2023 as the US Ambassador to Italy and San Marino. Prior to his appointment, Ambassador Markell was the US Representative to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), with rank of Ambassador. He previously served as the White House Coordinator for Operation Allies Welcome.
Ambassador Markell also served two terms as the Governor of the State of Delaware from 2009 to 2017. He was Chair of the National Governors Association and the Democratic Governors Association and President of the Council of State Governments.
