Brown Club of Los Angeles is joining Heal the Bay for Coastal Cleanup Day, the largest volunteer day on the planet! Coastal Cleanup Day is an international day of action to protect our oceans, watersheds, and wildlife from trash and debris. This year’s 35th California Coastal Cleanup Day is being held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 12 Noon at beach, creek, park, lake, river, marina, and schoolyard locations throughout L.A. County. Over 10,000 volunteers are expected to come together and tackle the problem of marine debris hands-on.
Volunteer with other Brown Club of LA alumni at the Redondo Beach (Avenue C Lifeguard Tower) clean up site at 1101 Esplanade, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Register here on BRAVO to join the Brown Club of LA group at the Redondo Beach clean up site. We'll be wearing repping our Brown University gear! (Call/text Elaine at 310-349-6756 if you're having trouble finding us at the clean up site.)
Volunteers are recommended to bring your own reusable water bottle and gloves, but all supplies will be provided at the clean up site. After the event, we’ll cool off at a nearby restaurant (location TBD)! Families and friends are invited to join - you can help make a Big Impact from Summit to Sea!
