On Thursday, September 7 at 5 p.m., Brown President Emerita Ruth Simmons will be visiting Brown as part of her book tour for her new memoir, "UP HOME: One Girl's Journey."
Ruth Simmons’ memoir UP HOME: One Girl’s Journey brings you from her childhood as the daughter to sharecroppers in East Texas who became the first Black president of an Ivy League university. It is an uplifting story of girlhood and the power of family, community, and the classroom to transform one young person’s life.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
