Jabberwocks
The Brown Club of Silicon Valley welcomes you to a very special musical event on January 20th from 4 pm to 6 pm. The world-famous Brown Jabberwocks will be visiting the West Coast and we will be hosting them for an afternoon of music and socializing. The club is committing a budget to subsidize the travel for the student members of the Jabberwocks but we ask for and will be collecting donations at the event instead of charging tickets for anyone who attends.

In 1949, four Brown University students broke away from the traditional Men’s Glee Club to form their independent singing group, The Jabberwocks of Brown University. 75 years later, the Jabberwocks are the oldest a cappella group at Brown. With powerful musical performances regularly rehearsed and reimagined, the Jabberwocks remain committed to pushing the envelope of a cappella excellence. The Wocks have had multiple tracks featured on the Best of Collegiate A Cappella (BOCA) albums, and have been honored repeatedly in the CARA awards. They are preparing to continue their competitive season by competing in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella this spring. 75 years later, the Jabberwocks’ long-standing tradition of excellence remains strong.
