Want to connect with other alumnae, allies, and Brown students in DC who are also juggling work and home life during the pandemic? Looking to discuss the professional challenges facing women at this unique historical moment, in an open and relaxed setting with fellow Brunonians? This monthly series is your opportunity to speak openly about the challenges you are facing and swap strategies for overcoming them, while building a supportive community.

Each month we will focus on a different topic to include a range of virtual conversations throughout the year. This month on Monday, September 28 (@ 6:00PM) we will feature the work of a current Brown Student, Pilar McDonald, who is co-founder of Project Matriarch with fellow alumna Lola McAllister. The initiative aims to provide meaningful support to working mothers during the pandemic and help illuminate and prevent the backslide of gender parity that statistics have shown is happening already.

There’s a lot going on in the world right now – let’s work through it together, virtually.
