Join us at Arena Stage on June 7 for a special theater night featuring a performance inspired by Jacob Lawrence's iconic Migration Series of paintings. Created by the award-winning Step Afrika! dance company, the production uses the images, color palette, and motifs in Lawrence's painting series to convey the Great Migration's pivotal history through pulsating rhythms and stunning choreography.
Our steeply-discounted block of group seating will allow for guests to convene briefly before showtime, and to enjoy the performance as a group. Curtain call is at 8PM sharp! The bar at Arena Stage opens at 6:30 PM and we will meet there at 7PM to meet and greet beforehand. Look for us by a Brown banner.
This event is proudly co-hosted by both BCDC and the DMV-area's branch of the Inman Page Black Alumni Council (IPC). All members of BCDC and IPC as well as friends, family, and other guests are warmly welcomed to register.
