Join BCDC, the Harvard Club of DC, the Brown Alumni Pride Association, and the Brown in Washington program (BIW) for a special literary salon with novelist Tim Murphy '91!
We'll gather at the H Street NE location of Solid State Books, one of DC's premier Black-owned, independent bookstores. Tim will read from his latest acclaimed novel, Speech Team, which interweaves themes of LGBTQ+ love, misfit friendships, and coming-of-age travails. He will also take audience questions about his path from undergraduate life to literary success, and how to navigate the tricky world of book publishing.
Registration includes a copy of Speech Team for signature by the author. RSVP by February 20 to ensure enough copies are on hand. Tea, coffee, wine, and noshes will be available in Solid State's cafe for purchase.
