We are incredibly excited to host Professor Kenneth Wong, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Chair for Education Policy at Brown University. Please join us for what will surely be an illuminating discussion.

“Redesigning Urban School Districts to Support School Improvement in the United States”

About half of the public school students attend schools in the largest 500 school districts in the United States.  What are the challenges and opportunities in large urban school districts? Professor Wong will examine some of the promising district-wide strategies in the areas of governance, innovation, and human capital development.  He wil also discuss the implications for the 11 urban districts in the Greater Bay Area such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Macau. This talk offers an opportunity for Professor Wong to share his research and policy experience on issues of urban system improvement.
