The Inman Page Black Alumni Council, Brown Club of New York, and the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice cordially invite you to a panel discussion focused on unpacking the legacy of slavery, as highlighted in the New York Times 1619 Project and the work of the Center for Study of Slavery and Justice. We will uncover the impact of slavery's long shadow on society as a whole, and the black community in particular. Our conversation will be lead by Dr. Tony Bogues, The Harmon Family Professor of Africana Studies Inaugural Director, Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice. The featured panelists are Marcia Ely '80, Dr. Nicole Truesdell, Wilfred Codrington III ‘05, and Dr. William "Sandy" Darity, Jr. '74, economist and contributor to The New York Times 1619 Project.
