Cuisine of the Tuscan Ghettos
It is Providence’s good fortune to have among us Chef Walter Potenza, a celebrated Italian Master Chef who has won numerous awards for his unique and innovative cuisine. He was selected as the chef for the US Olympic team in Salt Lake City and was one of only two chefs in the US invited to the Vatican to cook for a fundraiser for Pope Francis, among many other honors. Walter has Jewish roots as well in Italy and that has led him to study the foods of the Jews of Italy, especially during the periods where Ghettos were established in nearly every city and town. Join us as we collectively prepare Walter’s recipes and then sit down to enjoy the results of our labor and Walter’s talents. This is our third experience with Walter and the other two have rapidly sold out, so be sure to sign up early to reserve your place.
