Virtual Event

The Brown Clubs in Asia have collaborated to bring you a virtual Brown Speaker Series with Brown Faculty and Staff as part of our year of programming. We opened the series this past November with associate professor of East Asian Studies and faculty curator at Rockefeller Library, Dr. Zhuqing Li, discussing her new book, “Daughters of the Flower Fragrant Garden.”

We are excited to be joined by Dr. Adam Levine MD, MPH, Professor of Emergency Medicine and Health Services, Policy & Practice and Director of the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies at Brown University for our next event. The center’s mission is to promote a just, peaceful, and secure world by furthering a deeper understanding of global human rights and humanitarian challenges and encouraging collaboration between local communities, academics, and practitioners to develop innovative solutions to these challenges. Dr. Levine also serves as the Chief of the Division of Global Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He has previously led research and training initiatives in East and West Africa and South and South-East Asia. His own NIH, CDC, and foundation-funded research focuses on improving the delivery of emergency care in resource-limited settings and during humanitarian emergencies.
