Kate Bornstein '69 Breaks Down the Binary

In April 2018, legendary trans activist Kate Bornstein '69 contributed archival papers to the Christine Dunlap Farnham Archive. This is the first collection from a gender-nonconforming alum to be curated at Brown.

Sharing the possibilities of what trans means today, the author, performance artist, and gender theorist boldly goes beyond the gender divide, reconsidering gender identity with contemporary theories and personal experiences.

A reception will follow.

Sponsored by the Pembroke Center Associates, Shauna M. Stark ‘76 Out of the Archive Lecture Series, the Sarah Doyle Center and the Women's Leadership Council.
