Pay It Forward Day $500,000 Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Challenge

All gifts to the Brown Annual Fund on Pay It Forward Day will be matched dollar-for-dollar—up to the first $500,000. Matching funds will benefit The Brown Fund. This challenge is sponsored by Akash Ambani ’13, Dan H. O’Keefe ’97, and additional anonymous challengers.

Pay It Forward Day $500,000 Participation Challenge

$100,000 in challenge funds will be released for every 400 donors secured on Pay It Forward Day, up to $500,000. Matching funds will benefit The Brown Fund. This challenge is sponsored by anonymous challengers.

*Gifts must be made online and to a Brown Annual Fund designation between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. ET on April 28, 2026.

Pay It Forward Day is a community day—a celebration of our connection, gratitude, and collective pride in Brown University. This year we invite you to join us in ways that feel authentic to you, be it sending a message to the campus community, sharing about the day with your network, volunteering your time for Brown, or making a gift to the area at Brown that means the most to you. Usage Rights: By submitting a message, you retain the rights to your content but grant Brown University a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the content online and on campus.

Pay It Forward Day is a great opportunity to support the areas of Brown most meaningful to you through gifts to all Brown Annual Fund designations, including The Brown Fund, The Parents Fund, IPC Brown Annual Fund Scholarship, Mercedes Domenech BULAC BAF Scholarship, International BAF Scholarship, BrownConnect Fund, Campus Sustainability Fund, Pathways to Diversity & Inclusion Fund, Humanities Fund, Student Emergency Support Fund, Brown Engineering Annual Fund, Brown Medical Annual Fund, Brown Public Health Annual Fund, Watson School Annual Fund, Athletics Director’s Excellence Fund, and sport-specific BUSF Athletics Annual Funds.
